Meet the Electric Motion EM 5.7 (w/video)
Trial motorcycles are probably the most suitable application for electric drive and this is what Electric Motion thought when introducing the EM 5.7 on the market last year.
The motorcycle itself was shown in prototype form in 2011. It’s proudly made in France and available in several countries in Europe and also in the US, Canada or even Japan (here is the list).
The price starts from €6,000 in Europe (about $7,600) and the motorcycle itself is good enough to replace gasoline trial bikes. Moreover, there is a switch to choose power level equivalent to 125, 250 or 300 cc bikes.
Battery capacity provides up to two hours of riding and then can be charged to 80% in 40 minutes (110 minutes to full) at 10 amps. The Sport model will accept 15 amps and can be charged in 60 minutes.
Here is data from specifications and video presenting the EM 5.7 in action.
