EDTA Chooses Indianapolis as Site for 2014 Electric Vehicle Conference; Indy is First City Outside of DC to Host Annual Event
Shortly after that surprising announcement that Indianapolis would soon become home to the US’ largest electric vehicle sharing program, there’s more EV-related news from Indy.
The Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) has held an annual conference in Washington, DC since 2008. However, in 2014, Indianapolis will play host to that annual electric vehicle conference.
EDTA selected Indianapolis as the host city for the 2014 three-day event next May. The event will likely draw some 1,200 people from around the world.
Topics to be covered include (but certainly aren’t limited to) the sustainable commercialization of electric drive technologies through education, industry networking and public policy advocacy
The shifting of the conference from DC to Indianapolis comes at a time when more electric vehicles are grabbing the nation’s attention. No longer does DC have to be the hub for this conference, as residents of cities across the nation now seem to be aware of electric vehicles and their associated benefits.
