Combined Nissan LEAF & Renault ZOE Sales Exceed 280,000 Worldwide

Via Twitter, Renault ZE has announced that global cumulative sales of the Renault ZOE and Nissan LEAF have reached a combined level of more than 280,000 units:

Did you know Renault & Nissan have 280 000 electric vehicles on the roads? Good news travel fast! #drivelectricnow

The Nissan LEAF accounts for the majority of those sales ( ~192,000 globally through the end of September and well over 200,000 by now), but ZOE has been performing well as of late and actually has a chance at topping LEAF sales in Europe for 2015.

Well done Renault-Nissan.

Renault-Nissan sales are 284.000 units, Zoe 36.000 and Leaf 198.000 ? The rest should be Kangoo, e-NV200, Twizy and Fluence.

Yes. The totals through October 2015 (Renault has not reported November yet) are 19,862 Kangoo ZEs, 16,574 Twizys and some 5,000 Fluence ZEs + Samsung Sm3 ZEs, plus some 5,200 Nissan e-NV200s. All together, about 280,600. Nevertheless, in its blog the Alliance is reporting 284,000 through October. Some inconsistency, and to make matters worst, the 280K figure appears to be through November.

Check here for the source of the 284K figure:

852 more ZOE in France in November. 8824 since January.
173 Leaf in Nov. 2015 total so far is 2127.

Next goal 1 million. Should be reachable in 3 years.

The next step for Nissan, I think, is to drop the price of the base LEAF by roughly 20%, to $23K. That should do the trick.

Bon travail Renault-Nissan.
