Though expired (06-30-2014), we’re certain that deals similar to this one (or better) offered on the Cadillac ELR will be the norm from here on out, so why not share what you should expect to pay on an ELR lease.

This particular deal, offered at Cadillac of Novi in Novi, Michigan, is $1,999 due at signing, $499 per month, 39-month lease term.

The fine print, which unfortunately couldn’t be blown up to viewable size due to low resolution, states that the lease is a 10,000-mile per year lease with tax, title, plates doc fees all being extra due at signing.  No security deposit required.  GM Lease Loyalty required.  Must register vehicle in the state of Michigan.

The option list for this particular ELR lease example seems rather extensive, so we’re guessing the lease rates are not based on a barebones ELR, but rather one with at least a few option boxes checked off.

Here’s the latest ELR offer from Cadillac of Novi, which confirms that the deal is still ongoing:

To get a sense of what a raging deal this is, consider that General Motors initially offered the ELR on lease for $699 per month with $5,999 down.

I have to admit, the ELR may be back on my list as a Volt replacement when my lease is up next year. Volt 2.0 will be on the verge of coming out by then too. Certainly this kills the lease offerings and OCF for the BMW i3 (although I suspect BMW will hit that wall in another month or so and offer their own deals). As an aside, even though I have test driven an ELR it wasn’t until recently that I saw one with a CTS -V coupe on a dealer lot. Prior to this , I thought the two cars looked similar, but they are actually very different in person. The CTS is much more blocky and bulky. The ELR is much sleeker and cleaner looking.
