According to a China Car Times report, BYD’s Deputy Sales Manager Li Yun Fei stated that the automaker will introduce a new electric supercar in 2015, which probably is the E9 on which the first rumors emerged last year.

“The sports car has already been codenamed the E9 internally with work well underway, the new car will have a Ferrari comparable time of 3.9 seconds on the 0-100km/h run. The new model is expected to air in 2015.”

We don’t know anything more for the moment besides the name “Han,” but we welcome the first performance EV from China.
