
BYD Increases Plug-In Electric Car Sales To Over 13,000 In March
BYD achieved in March its second best month of plug-in electric car sales in China ever with more than 13,000 deliveries.
The growth of 116% year-over-year and nearly 28,500 sales in the first quarter (up 226%) keeps BYD in the game for fourth place overall.
Plug-ins accounted for 31% of the total BYD car sales for the month.

BYD sales breakdown:
- Song (PHEV) – 4,685 + 11 (BEV)
- e5 – 3,798
- Qin (PHEV) – 3,361 + 610 (BEV)
- Tang (PHEV) – 398
- e6 – 249
BYD’s results are expected to continue to grow to beyond 15,000 or even 20,000 when the refreshed models hit the market.
