BMW i8 Wrap Sort Of Reminds Us Of Original i8 Concept – Video

According to the video description, this wrap job is meant to make the production BMW i8 resemble the original BMW Vision Concept that later evolved into the production vehicle we see today:

This is one of the first BMW i8’s to be completely vinyl wrapped and restyled. The inspiration for this design was derived from the “Vision Concept” that BMW initially released of the car, most notably the flowing blue aluminum body lines throughout the design. In order to properly add the blue aluminum accents, we had to also replace all blue original accents as well, going as far as even the roundels (emblems). The primary body color for this project is Satin Black with Brushed Black Metallic & Blue Aluminum Accents. All the lines on the vehicle were custom cut utilizing Knife-less Tape…meaning no blades were used on this vehicle to create this stunning design. To complete the project we added Satin Black wheel powder coat and a 20% tint. The entire vehicle is covered and the paint is protected giving it an incredibly functional yet unique design.

We can see the resemblance between the wrapped i8 and the Vision Concept…can you?

Curious to know if the car will actually be driven. It was loaded on to a convertible covered flatbed car carrier at the end of the video.
