BMW i8 Shooting Brake Rendering

OCT 10 2015 BY STAFF 6

BMW will never make an i8 shooting brake, but that hasn’t stopped Rain Prisk Designs from rendering what one might look like.  We do wish they didn’t include that silly roof box though.

As BMWBLOG explains:

“From the movie “It won’t ever happen”, comes a rendering of a BMW i8 Shooting Brake. The folks over at Rain Prisk Designs take an interesting approach to build the i8 Shooting Brake. The rendering retains the i8 front-end while the rest gets a total makeover: the roof gets a box for transporting things, while the rear end gets a sloping roofline and muscular fenders.”

“Other upgrades include a carbon fiber front splitter, custom black wheels and a lowering kit.”

With that suspension setting, the box on the roof might be the most comfortable place to be.

What’s a shooting brake? It doesn’t sound very useful.

Basically a fancy hatch back lol

Thank you. The term “shooting brake” isn’t familiar to me. Would have been helpful if it was defined in the article.

Here is what Wikipedia has to say about a shooting brake.

If the Leaf and an i8 had a baby… 😉
