BMW i Ventures Invests In Car Share Company ZIRX

BMW’s investment arm BMW i Ventures made a strategic investment in ZIRX. This new start-up in BMW i Ventures portfolio is developing innovative on-demand parking and car services – currently in New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C.
The main idea behind ZIRX is to relieve drivers from parking their cars in large cities through recalling agents via smartphone app (see video).
For BMW i Ventures, ZIRX is the 3rd start-up in mobility services area, although details on how big a part belongs to BMW weas not disclosed.
Other companies in BMW portfolio are Chargepoint, Chargemaster, Life360, Moovit, JustPark, and Zendrive.
There is no info about handling electric cars specifically, but ZIRX’s agents maybe could take the cars to charging points as well.
