Describing the polarizing design of the BMW i3 is challenging.  You’ll hear words like competence, trust and lightweight used to describe the exterior design.

We love hearing designer discuss design.  They truly are outside the box individuals.

Smart way to describe ugly

He’s not outside the box, he’s just French 🙂 making up words and hoping they have the same meaning in English (as in French) such as sympathy where he meant to say likability. Only a French guy has the balls to make up words on an official BMW video, I love it.

I will probably have to agree that external design divide people, internally designed is really good, plenty of room and you feel the quality of the finish, it is pleasant to touch and then it drives actually really good around corners and accelerate fine, i prefere the i3 over the Leaf

Too many designers impede the flow. It’s certainly not too “aggressive”. I will give them functionality with a tick off for the suicide doors, but visionary?
The exterior design is a hodgepodge of ideas cobbled together with no overall thematic unification.

I was considering buying an i3, but I was really disappointed with the final product. Not only are the looks polarizing, the range was very disappointing. I do applaud the CFRP, the weight, the performance and the efficiency. But, it needs a real battery.
