All-Electric Passenger Car Sales In France Hit New High In April
All-electric car sales are grew substantially in France by 65% year-over-year in April to 1,948 registrations.
Especially high growth comes in the passenger BEV segment – by 110% year-over-year to a record high of 1,726.
On the other hand, light commercial vehicles with all-electric drive shrunk 38% to 222.
Last month, for the third time in the past eight months, passenger BEVs reached 1.0% market share in France.
High sales in part come from additional incentives (in total up to €10,000).
Overall, there were 5,841 BEVs registered in France so far this year.
Additionaly 394 plug-in hybrids were registered in April and 1,091 YTD.
Most of the BEV sales come from Renault ZOE – 1,237 (plus 12 registered as LCV).
ZOE takes almost 72% of passenger BEV sales in France, growing by over 200% year-over-year and in April it hit a record high compared to Renault Clio (1 ZOE per every 8.5 Clio).
