The Swiss vision of what makes up a futuristic, autonomous electric vehicle is a little bit crazy… after all it has plants inside the oasis car.

Below you can see latest photos and videos with the Oasis and judge is this is the kind of future you want to see yourself riding around in.

Oasis Quick specs:

  • two seats
  • two 40 kW electric motors
  • 12 kWh battery
  • up to 100 km (62 miles).
  • 0-62 mph (100 km/h) takes 9.7 seconds

Is it faster than the Quad-Chair?

Only if the overhead cable doesn’t snap or break!

Another perfectly acceptable way of getting to work or into town. I could imagine lots of these in an apartment block car share. When ever you need to go into town you could jump in one of these.

Just buy a three year old EV with 30,000 miles for $8000 and be done with it.

We will go back to read your previous comments for wisdom.

Too bad there are several videos, a whole article, and still no basic description of the EV engineering aspects.

Great to see a company that dares think out of the box and put their money where their mouth is

I want plants in my EV. A rolling garden, I can take with me wherever I go! The Nissan “Leaf” I drive, is only “Green” in name only. Where do I send my reservation deposit, so I can be the first to have a mobile garden in my hood, or under my hood, for that matter?

Right On!!!

This thing will grow the freshest Cannabis, man!!!

Wonder which plants would survive the nighttime winter chill in my neighborhood? Perhaps an evergreen.

it appears that they were listening to the album “kamikiriad” when they designed this.

Philip Reeve

With a top speed of over 80mph!??? Surely not!

Everything about this vehicle is farcical. It puts the EV movement back a couple of decades. Just when EVs are beginning to gain credibility, along comes this monstrosity in the guise of a concept car.

Surely this is a joke!

So instead of dusting the dash, I have to water, prune, feed, weed and play music to keep it looking good?
