Advocates For Children Raffling Off EV to Raise Funds for Much-Needed Minivan
“13 kids. One Wheego LiFe.”
That’s not going to work.
Which is why Advocates For Children is raffling off its donated Wheego LiFe to one lucky winner.
Advocates For Children will use the proceeds from the raffle to purchase a minivan, which will replace an aging and oversized bus that the organization currently uses for its children’s transport needs.
As Advocates For Children states:
“While this electric powered, mean machine, is easy on the gas and helping keep the environment clean, it certainly isn’t large enough to haul our 13 Flowering Branch residents around town!”
“So, let’s make a deal.”
“We are raffling off our 2013 Wheego LiFe, donated generously by Strategic Contract Resources, LLC, to one lucky winner. The Wheego LiFe has a full highway speed of 65 mph and has a commuter supporting range of 100 MILES between charges. Just plug this sporty little vehicle in and gas will be a thing of the past. A charger comes with the vehicle and can be plugged into any standard 120V outlet.”
“Your $10 donation will go toward the purchase of a new van for Flowering Branch Children’s Shelter residents and will replace the older bus we currently use, which has certainly seen better days!”
“Help us reach our goal of 1,600 raffle tickets sold, give our kids a brand new van to bounce around in and win yourself a 2013 Wheego LiFe! A name will be drawn on Friday, March 21 at the Every Child’s A Star talent show.”
Though the Wheego LiFe might not be your EV of choice, the $10 fee goes for a good cause and, who knows, you just might end up the lucky winner of a rather decent around-town EV, which retails for over $30,000.
