Chevrolet has decided to add a new color to the lineup for the 2017 Volt…Citron Green Metallic

It’s not green by definition, but more like champagne with a somewhat greenish hue.

It’s not the color we’d choose for our Volt, but if you want to build your own Volt with this new color (which appears to be exclusive to the Volt – not available on Impala, Malibu CTS and so on) you can do so by clicking here.

The addition of Citron Green Metallic brings the exterior color choice count to 8 for the 2017 Volt.

Is that Green?

Looks like light Champagne on this monitor…

I actually think the color looks pretty good. I’d love to see what it looks like “in the flesh”

I’ve seen it in person. It is very unimpressive.

In fact, I’d say it’s the only bad color on the Gen2 Volt. All the other colors are great.

The color looks nothing like the chevy site in the flesh. It looks more like an ice green in person and is surprisingly nice looking, so much so that I am buying the one I saw.

“What color is this dress?” Maybe Chevy designers are colorblind, but that ain’t green.

I’d call it primer beige.

I want red with a blacked out grill.

“champagne with a somewhat greenish hue.”

Ah. Rotten booze. What a lovely colour… 😉

You know, I went shopping today and was excited for a second. Thought I saw a Volt leaving the parking lot– but it was just a Honda Civic.

*Snap* 😀

And then there’s the Hyundai Elantra.

Citron Green is my favorite color but unfortunately you can’t order it with the black/brandy leather interior; only black. The brandy interior would have looked good with this exterior color.

I would send a strongly worded post to Mary, and beg that she reconsider her limited colour options.

It would be a good looking combo.

I was annoyed in a similar way. I wanted the exterior to be blue. But I wanted the light ash interior, but those two options aren’t offered together..So I ended up going with iridescent Pearl.

I like the look, but that name is ridiculous. I’d prefer to call it light brown, but if you want to get fancy then beige would do.

Thanks for the discussion. I had already seen this on the Chevy website but couldn’t figure out what this color really is. I see that I’m not alone!

Yes, this “green” does look brown in person. It’s almost like a greenish-gold.

I don’t get it. Why choose an obscure color rather than an elegant or sporty color. Resale will be a b….!

Can’t wait for delivery of my 2017 silver Volt.
