2016 Chevrolet Volt In Disney’s Tomorrowland

Disney’s Tomorrowland will debut in theaters on May 22.  The film’s debut marks the beginning of General Motors advertising the 2016 Chevrolet Volt.

The new Volt’s placement in the movie makes sense to us as its a futuristic film where every action changes the world and the film’s stars forever:

“From Disney comes two-time Oscar® winner Brad Bird’s “Tomorrowland,” a riveting mystery adventure starring Academy Award® winner George Clooney. Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.”

Meanwhile, over on the Chevrolet Volt Facebook page we found this:

It seems like there isn’t too much value in a movie placement that debuts months before the car is available. By then consumers forget all about the car.

Especially if the movie is forgettable. Of all the Disneyland attractions they made movies out of, only Pirates of the Carribean has been successful.

Haunted Mansion with Eddie Murphy and some forgettable one based on Country Bear Jamboree years ago… Probably needed Johnny Depp.

i think the front will look better if the chrome inserts get blacked out

But then it doesn’t look like a smile anymore… and that smile is perfect for the next TRANSFORMERS movie.

I think someone meant to put the car in the next Transformers movie and accidentally struck an agreement with Tomorrowland. 😉

Optimus Prime would have to punch out Voltinator before his teeth/grill turns black… Hopefully while destroying yet another city. Godzilla must be pissed there’s no more cities to trample on.

I saw a sneak preview of the 2016 Chevy Volt in the movie, and it was white, not blue.

Given the ”T” in Tomorrowland, a Tesla would have been more appropriate i think.
