We’ve seen the Tesla Model S smoke a Dodge Viper at the strip.

Model S Time Highlighted in Yellow

Which Vehicle’s Time is Highlighted in Yellow???

Even witnessed a Model S rightfully crush a Chevy Volt.

But has the Model S met it match in a highly modified 2009 Cadillac CTS-V?

Spoiler alert!!!! Nope, not us.  We won’t spoil this one.

Here are the race specifics:

“Quarter mile run at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL on June 14, 2013. 2012 Tesla Model S Performance (100% stock) running against a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V with the following upgrades (609 HP): Corsa exhaust, American Racing Headers, ECU tune, cold air intake, heat exchanger, upper and lower pulley swap.”

Watch.  The results might shock you.

If Model S wasn’t a 2.1ton fatty it would be able to defeat even the fastest of cars

      Trying… not… to… make… a… yo… mama… joke…

If the Tesla was lighter, its range would be significantly compromised too.

and you are a bull**** because I am biased with Tesla

  2. Alaa Sadek says:

If Tesla uses the Lithium Sulfur batteries, then we could have 85kw for a querter of the weight of the currect batteries. This will beat the Cadliac. But I am happy with even 6 seocnds 0 to 60 provided I have 300*4=1200 miles range!

  3. David Murray says:

Does anyone know if this was the performance edition of the Tesla or the regular?

  4. MTN Ranger says:

A regular CTS-V is impressive, a modded one is a monster.

In the race specifics quote it says Model S performance.
