Renault Puts Gilles Normand In Charge Of Its Electric Vehicle Division
Renault has announced the appointment of Gilles Normand to the position of Senior Vice President of Electric Vehicle Division.
This is a newly created position at Renault, so Normand is not replacing a senior VP, but rather being promoted to a position that previously didn’t exist.
Renault hopes that the creation of this new spot, along with the appointment of Normand to the position, will “strengthen the EV business unit,” especially in the new hot segment of long-range, affordable electric cars.
Of the appointment, Normand stated:
“I am very motivated by this new strategic challenge at a time when the Global EV market is entering into a significant growth phase. I look forward to working with the team to continue to drive our leadership in existing and new markets, and bring exciting EV vehicles to our customers.”
