France is mainly focused on support for all-electric cars, which at 13,534 (passenger car registrations) so far this year is hitting 1% market share.

But plug-in hybrids are also¬†improving too, reaching a record 3,716¬†sold in the past 10 months. That’s more than half of all the 6,500 PHEVs sold over the past few years.

This year, sales already exceed the full-year 2014 result by 130%.

The most popular models this year are Volkswagen Golf GTE and Audi A3 Sportback e-tron, with Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV in third.

    Nice to hear this.
With real time electricity pricing and very low prices at night, the owners of Electric & Plugins can charge their vehicles at night at a very low price.
I wish French follow the Norweigns in buying more such vehicles so that not only they reduce the pollution from Diesel vehicles, but also utilize their cleaner nuclear & hydro electricity better.

Another positive development is the number of >working< fast chargers, that has recently started to grow. Not on paper and in promises, where it was already growing for some time, but in the real world. Especially the large Auchan supermarkets have CHAdeMO/AC fast chargers, they keep them in working order and they are free to use.
