Consumer Electronics announces its presence at 2016 CES next week to cover various topics, including electric cars and autonomous drive.

“The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is known for TVs, smartphones, drones and the latest automotive technology. Consumer Reports will explore electric vehicles, car connectivity, and autonomous driving systems at this year’s show.”

We note that several plug-in cars will be present at the 2016 CES, but this lost does not necessarily include all the cars we’ll see:

It’ll be interesting to see the Bolt, Faraday and details on both.
Personally I don’t want my car to be that electronic or connected to the web.
Why is initial and monthly costs, stuck in obsolete tech and hacking.
I have a tablet and a phone to do those at a fraction of the cost.

Can you add date, time, and location for those of us at CES who want to see the unveilings in person?

I like this idea of EVs at CES. Chevy, Faraday, and VW all seem to be showing big things.

I like the rejection of Detroit about as much as I hate the idea cars are evolving into 1’s and 0’s.

Why are we making automation and electric drive Siamese twins? Faraday is the hope, here.
