Nissan LEAF, with 24 cubic feet of space (30 with the standard 60/40-split rear seat folded down), is excellent for transporting a serious drum set.

Nissan proved this with Jared Silberhorn, who as LEAF owner, is a serious drummer too.

We could bet that musicians and audiophiles especially appreciate the silence and hopefully many of them will switch to electric drive in the near future.

“Nissan LEAF owner Jared Silberhorn doesn’t just play the drums – he plays a lot of them. In fact, his drum kit is quite a bit bigger than most drummers’. Which makes finding a car with enough interior space to fit them all quite a challenge. Luckily, Jared drives an electric car – the 100% electric Nissan LEAF. Its roomy interior can handle his sound – from his kick, to his crash, to his snare – with enough space left over to get him anywhere he needs to go without missing a beat.”

I just read an article in automotive news on how Toyota is having trouble selling its small cars. They are blaming low gas prices, but I think the main reason is the Leaf.

Nissan and GM now Dominate sub compact car sales, and sales of their compact cars are rising fast. I believe the Leaf and the Volt are acting as halo cars driving buyers interested in fuel efficiency to both brands.
