PlugInIndia recently captured Arvind Mathew, CEO Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles, in a brief video interview.

Plug-in electric car progress in India is moving slower than some anticipated, but Mahindra Reva isn’t giving up.

They are trying to go nationwide and are considering how to develop a charging infrastructure.

One of the major topics in India is education to dispel misconceptions about electric cars too.

“We caught up with Mr. Arvind Mathew, CEO – Mahindra Reva for a few minutes in Pune.
Mr Mathew shares his inspiration and future that lies ahead for Reva electric cars.

Sorry bout the bad audio. This was a sudden idea and we were unprepared!”

I think I have found the problem: The car looks like a**.

  2. Bill Howland says:

    Interesting advertisement…

GM should hire them to do their ads for the poorly performing ELR…

I’d love to say I bought a ELR because its the “GOOD” thing to do. hehe.

  3. Tman says:

The Mahindra E20 is suffering from the Mitsubishi i-miev syndrome. Yes it’s a cheap ev, but it looks too damn cheap and goofy.

They should take a page from the Outlander Phev and stuff the 10-12kwh li-ion battery from the E20 into their high selling XUV500 SUV making it a plugin hybrid.

Besides the 2.4L diesel engine in the XUV500 makes it ineligible for sale in New Delhi as the Delhi government just banned diesels above 2L.
