The Piaggio Group has unveiled from the 2016 EICMA show in Italy, a new all-electric Vespa elettrica scooter.

The iconic scooter in electric version will enter the market in the second half of 2017.

There is no specs, details or pricing, but the all-electric scooter is expected to offer similar performance to the conventional models, but at a slightly premium price.

    Perfect application for an electric drivetrain. These are usually neighborhood runabouts where range and top speed won’t matter. Small battery should charge quickly.

      These are Vespas so I presume something more than just a NEV. 125/300cc scooters are typically not just for neigborhood riding…

    Excellent since motorcycles spew out way more polution per mile than cars…
    They are joining BMW and hopefuly Honda with there Cub soon…
