While almost all the plug-in vehicles we see on the roads today are of the smaller, compact nature for individual drivers, the biggest cost (and emission) savings for EV technology lies with heavier transport; trucks and commercial vehicles.
In a recent video, Motorweek takes a look at the business of converting standard (but common) petrol trucks into plug-ins.
The segment that focuses on in on the US conversion companies WrightSpeed and Motive Power Systems, of whom the latter, delivered the first all-electric garbage truck and California’s only certified all electric school bus.
