Cadillac ELR Officially Official? Onstar Says So

5 years ago by Inside EVs Staff 1

What happens when a blogger of technology goes poking around his OnStar vehicle profile while GM is working on updating its database? Well, information is disseminated.

Amongst other mystery cars, under the headings of “Cadillac” and “2014” you find the ELR, which is the cousin of the Chevrolet Volt, but with a lot more oompf. So if the cars¬†existence wasn’t really enough for you on just the word of the CEO, this should do it for you.

Also of interest is the Chevrolet SS Performance. We wager they did not want to resurrect the Caprice name for the general public, and Commodore just doesn’t have the cache as it does for Holden down-under.

  1. Marc Lee says:

The ELR really makes sense as venue for the Voltec powertrain, since it offers a “Cadillac” like ride feel.
