We're You Number 100,000

We’re You Number 100,000?

It’s a done deal.

A recent petition, posted on “We the People,” called for signatures to allow Tesla Motors to sell directly to consumer in all 50 states.

And through the powers that be (with some added help from fans of InsideEVs) that signature count crept past the 100,000 mark.0

We’ve been tipped off that one of our readers in Houston, Texas may have been responsible for that crucial 100,000th signature.  Please let it be known if it was one of you.

What’s next for Tesla Motors now that this petition has reached the 100,000 threshold?  Well, the White House must now evaluate it and then likely issue a response.  There’s no guarantee it’ll go any further than that, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed.

Nice that the 100,000th signer was from Texas. Since the reason for the need for auto dealerships is seriously outdated, it’s about time we revisit this issue.

Just because the petition reached 100,000 signers doesn’t necessarily mean the administration will answer it. There are petitions that met their thresholds without a peep. (I’m referring to the Westboro Baptist Church hate-group/tax exempt status loss petitions.)

??? Those stupid petitions about stupid church got the answer from White House…

Basically every petition that hit threshold get answered. So at least some White House staff noticing existence of the problem.

I signed it. I didn’t think it would make it cuz just a week or so ago it didn’t have near enough.
    This is good news.

It is heartening that so many Americans support Elon’s vision and Tesla Motors…

Thank God! Great news, I wanted to sign – but being a Oz resident do not have a US account number LOL!

I signed it mainly because it’s sickening that a country with a “free market” is often found to not be so “free” after all. This country has so many hypocrites it’s not even funny. Both sides of the isle screaming for freedom, yet they continue to ignore and even pass laws that take away freedoms. If you don’t like something, fine, but if it doesn’t affect you then don’t mess with it. And most of the anal types will try to find a way that it affects you, but it really doesn’t.
